We will meet in Paris at our hotel near Gare du Lyon. We will see the City of Lights from our private boat cruise from the Locks of Bastille to the Eiffel tour and back. 

We will walk to Gare de Lyon and board the train to Le Puy-en-Velay. Let your body recover from jet-lag while you enjoy the scenic French countryside from the train window.

We will stay in Le-Puy-en-Velay today. Explore the 12th-century cathedral, climb the steps to the iconic Rocher Saint-Michel d' Aiguilhe, chapel that was built in the year 951AD on top of a 2,000,000 year old volcanic rock or just relax with a glass of wine and people watch in the town plaza.  Later that evening, we will attend a reception  hosted by Camino volunteers to meet other pilgrims who we will see on the trail over the days to come.

Today we begin our walk on the Chemin Saint Jacques also known as The Via Podensis.

Le-Puy-en-Velay to Montbonnet - Approximately 11 miles

Montbonnet to Monistrol d'allier - 10.5 miles

Monistrol d'Allier to Saugues - 10 miles

Saugues to Les Sauvage - 15 miles

Les Sauvage to Aumont Aubrac 19 miles

Today is the most challenging of all of the days. But the sense of accomplishment that you will fell afterward is so worth it!

Montgros to St. Chely d'Aubrac - 13.6 miles

St. Chely d'Aubrac to St. Come d'Olt   - 13.7 miles

St. Come d'Olt to Estaing - 10 miles

We will walk through 3 villages that are listed as the most beautiful villages in France!

Estaing to Senergues  - 6 miles

This is a short day of walking designed to give us the opportunity to explore

Senergues to Conques - 6 miles

Wake up, have a leisurely breakfast and still have time to explore Conques before we make our way back to Paris.
