I’m headed to Porto (with a brief stopover in London with my husband, Jim).
I will be walking the Camino Litoral from Porto to Ponte de Lima. Then will go to Caminha, Portugal - on the Portuguese/Spanish to serve as a volunteer hospitalera. I will be welcoming pilgrims to the Albergue de Peregrinos. I’m so excited to give back to the community that feeds my soul.
The Portuguese Coastal is a very international route with walkers from all corners of the world. (Czeck, Romania, Brazil, Korea, Argentina, Mexico, Germany, Ukraine, Italy, Russia and more!)
After walking 11 pilgrimages through Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland and Japan, you might say I have a healthy addiction to all things pilgrimage.
I love walking; but I love the community.
Pilgrims are not tourists.
Many people are walking to find answers too deep to even articulate, to find themselves and to seek peace.
I truly believe if everyone in the world walked a Camino, we might have more world peace!🌎☮️❤️
It should be very interesting. Stay tuned….
